Our Vision for the Future
As The Luke Clinic continues to grow, so does the demand for its services. To better serve our communities, we plan to:
Expand Clinical Hours
We aim to increase the number of clinical hours at both our Detroit and Flint locations, allowing us to serve more patients. This includes the establishment of separate pediatric and postpartum clinics to cater specifically to these groups.
Enhance Translation Services
With 20% of our patients speaking languages other than English, we need to provide in-person translators fluent in Spanish, Arabic, Dari, and Bengali. Building trust with our clients requires not only medical care but also effective communication, which is best achieved through face-to-face translation services.
Expand Behavioral Health Services
Recognizing the importance of mental health, we plan to integrate behavioral health services within our clinics. This will allow patients to receive comprehensive care in one location, making it more convenient and likely that they will utilize these critical services.
Increase Capacity
To maintain our growth, we need to hire additional medical and administrative staff. Competing with local hospitals for experienced medical professionals requires offering competitive salaries. Expanding our administrative team will also ensure that we remain compliant and efficiently manage our resources.
Develop Educational Programming
Our commitment to culturally appropriate, hands-on education has shown positive outcomes. We plan to develop additional group programs, building on the success of our "Girl Talk" trial, to address a variety of subjects, including mental health and healthy lifestyle choices.
